I looked on the Autumn tinted leaves
Adorned in colors bright.
The naked trees bereft of dress
And grieved the summer’s flight.

We think our turn will soon be here
To lay our beauty by.
Our friends may stand beside the beir
And turn away to cry.

God has revealed to us his plan
That this is not the end.
A brighter day will dawn for man
When friend will meet with friend.

The glory of eternal day
We cannot comprehend,
We trust his grace and so we stay
Contented to the end.

We think of coming winter
And we dread it’s chilly air;
But as we enter the cellar
And see what we have there.

We rejoice in food a plenty
To fill our bill of fare;
May we help those who are scanty
With what we have to spare.

So may God balance our income
Our outlay too as well;
Remember the hand it came from
And try to please him well.

Then when we go to meet him
And worship at his feet;
For his love to us we’ll thank him
Our joy will be complete.
