Birthdays come and birthdays go
God who rules would have it so
Time is fleeting we should know
And do our best.
Not by struggling but trust in him
Not compromising with our sin
But let the holy spirit in
And let him rest.
Then birthdays bring us nearer home
Where we shall never wish to roam
Where fleeting times will not be known
But peace and rest.
