In gloom we know sun light is coming,
After night we look for morning,
Winters past then spring’s adorning,
Through all these lessons we’re learning.
So hope on through some passing sorrow,
God will send us a glad tomorrow,
We’ve sorrow enough so why borrow?
And so let us patiently follow.
Testing time passed we’re happy again.
Sunshine is sure to follow rain.
Pleasures will temper our every pain
And even our loss may prove a gain.
Still God is sitting on his great throne,
He will do the best for his own.
In his perfect care we’re ne’er alone
And he will guide us safely home.
