All We, Like Sheep, Have Gone Astray
Isaiah 53:6
We look on a world sin blighted,
Where God’s word is lightly heard.
Honor and virtue slighted,
We go as a wandering herd.
May God in His mercy guide us,
Back into the narrow way;
In the way trod by Jesus,
To the perfect light of day.
Oh! Could we walk as God has planned,
In the way of peace and joy,
That God’s sweet peace may fill our land.
With no sin, left to destroy.
The dawning will soon appear,
Jesus son of the morning:
Whose voice the saints will then hear,
Banish forever pain and mourning.
