In winter all days are cold and dead,
In spring revives again.
Death’s winter we may also tread
In Christ we arise again.
And so in hope we lay us down
The darkness overspread,
Awaiting the resurrection’s dawn
We waken from the dead.
And oh the joy of life divine,
The wonder of His grace,
To look in life on things sublime
Behold my savior’s face.
