The King of Kings, the Holy One,
The Eternal and God’s son,
The Christ of God who was to come.
Jesus our lord.

Obedient to the Father’s voice
The will of God his only choice
He will not shun the cruel cross.
Obedient still.

Quite well He knows the Father’s way
Would lead Him to the throne one day,
And endless life and endless day.
Eternal life.

Eternal life, eternal love
Obedient still as hosts above
Rests still with us the heavenly dove.
Eternal joy.
