God’s son was willing for such ones as I
On Calvary’s cross to suffer and die
What am I willing to suffer for him
Who carried for me my burden of sin.

But failures are mine in spite of intent
Though love so divine may see what I meant
Resting in Jesus my only resort
My attorney pleads for me at God’s court.

So waiting and trusting his pardoning grace
To cover my sin when I look on his face
Changed from this body of din and decay
Forever at rest in life’s endless day.
